Plan Objective
This plan keeps Marana & Oro Valley together, completely, not just the northern half, and eliminates the need to cross the mountains to get from one side of the district to the other. The east side of the district ends at Sabino Canyon which you cannot cross unless you go south to Tanque Verde Road. It keeps the Amphi (Oro Valley) and Marana school districts whole. This district replaces D17 in LD Test Map 8.0. It is far more compact, competitive and is entirely within Pima County except for a small piece of Pinal County which is actually within the city limits of Marana.
