Plan Description
This updated Legislative map fully includes some native reservations that were previously divided into separate districts. It also realigns D19 to be more contiguous. Makes D17 more competitive and proper. This map vastly improves southern AZ.
Plan Objective
This Legislative District Map is an upgraded version from the previous edition. The former had native reservation overlap. This version has every native reservation fully in its own district. It keeps the Navajo Nation and smaller tribes together in D6. Gila in D16 and Tohono O'odam fully in D23 including its San Xavier Mission. Yavapai Nation-Salt River near Phoenix is part of D7 for full representation. This map solves the gerrymandered D17 issue in Tucson region and is now nearly a 50/50% competitive district. Santa Cruz County and River Valley is essentially its own district now. All 30 districts in the state are now evenly distributed with population and 15 districts leaning D and 15 leaning R.
