Plan Description
This map represents the best LDs for Southern AZ. They meet Communities of Interest, and the compact and congruity test as well as many more. Please take a look and seriously consider. Thank you!
Plan Objective
D17 uses the Rillito River as its southern border. It is a competitive district. It is compact and contiguous.
The other districts respect communities of interest, especially for the City of Tucson. It is not splintered by many LDs that are not of the city's community of interest. The city's votes are not diluted by other LDs as it is today. The city deserves to be unified into one or two LDs.
It respects minority districts. It keeps minority populations together.
Please seriously consider this plan for Southern Arizona. Thank you.
