Plan Description
This map makes CD2 competitive again. Keeps Native lands together. Puts Central Yavapai County with Mohave for a stronger COI and leaves Verde Valley with Flagstaff for a competitive district. This map overall is more competitive and compact than the Draft Map. NO more counties are split than under Draft map. This map sets 3 Dem, 3 Rep, and 3 Competitive districts. FAIR and Competitive.
Plan Objective
This map brings competitiveness and fairness to Northern AZ, and AZ statewide. 3/3/3 D/R/C
Improves COI for Yavapai County by attaching to Mohave County, and for the greater Flagstaff region by attaching the Verde Valley. Honors Native Tribes' request to stay together. Improves Compactness overall. Honors physical Geographic boundaries and practical Communities of Interest. Some include Cave Creek and Athem, Oro Valley and Marana and Catalina Foothills, and San Manuel and Oracle.
