Plan Description
This plan accommodates Mehls desire to include Oracle, San Manuel and Mammoth and keeps Oro Valley and Marana together. D18 now includes Tanque Verde and the Rincon Mtns and Saguaro Ntl Mnmt East. It also take Davis Monthan out of D19 which Lerner preferred.
Plan Objective
This plan fixes mainly southern AZ. Allows for Oracle, San Manuel and Mammoth into D17 with Oro Valley, Marana and Saddlebrook. Tanque Verde region moves into Catalina Foothills/Mtns and Saguaro Ntl Mnmt in D18. Adds Davis Monthan AFB to D21 and downtown in D20 with westside. Keeps integrity of SE AZ in D19. Allows for the growth of the Casa Grande Sector in D16 to include AZ City, Maricopa and other I-8 growth cities. I believe this also allows for the Latino Vote to be strong along the D23 Border district as well as D21 and D20. In Northern AZ D6 and D7 keep tribe groups together. All population numbers are well under 100 people variance.
