Plan Description
A map with 4 competitive seats, as well as having a 1/5th native district and 2 majority hispanic districts.
Plan Objective
This map was created based off the maps proposed by the commission earlier today. It aims to keep a Native opportunity district (District 1 on the 2011 map) that can elect a representative of their choice. This map also has 4 competitive districts won by under 5% in 2020. Districts 1, 2, 6, and 8. Of those Biden won District 2 and 6, while Trump won 1 and 8. As the 2011 map did, this map attempts to keep Hispanic areas in the south of the state as well as the Phoenix area together, it accomplishes this very similarly to the commission's draft map. According to the metrics from planscore.org this is also a very fair map. Only the partisan bias metric is biased in a non-negligible way (towards Republicans by 2.2%).
