The Dobson Ranch area of southwest Mesa is a large homogeneous community of middle class and upper middle class people. Ever since its creation  Dobson Ranch as served as a model for successful suburb development and community life.

Your current Draft Legislative Map splits our community at Baseline Rd. with the portion falling between Baseline Rd and US 60 going to PLD 26 and the portions south of Baseline going to PLD 18. This splitting of a vital community of interest is completely unnecessary. Dobson Ranch deserves to have the full weight and influence of its voters when dealing with our representatives to the state government. For that purpose  I submit the included proposed map for your consideration. By moving all of Dobson Ranch into PLD 26  we will vote with our friends and neighbors in west Mesa  and north Temp rather than those distant strangers all the way over in Ahwatukee and points west. We share many of the same challenges as our next door neighbors. The same traffic problems  air pollution  and noise pollution  to name just a few.  We share the same shopping areas  and"
